Ms. Jaisy George has completed her BAL, LL.B. degree from Government Law College, Cochin affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, wherein she was accreditted with the University Second Rank. After being enrolled as a lawyer, she appeared before various Courts and Tribunals in Kerala for around a year, when she was shortlisted for LL.M. admissions in the School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology (SLS, CUSAT). She pursued there a two-year dual LL.M. Degree Programme with the University Merit Scholarship. Her core specialisations are 'Criminal Law' and 'Human Rights Law'.
Before joining the faculty of law in Symbiosis Law School, Pune, she has served for around a year in Al-Azhar Law College, Kerala established under the aegis of the Noorul Islam Trust, as Assistant Professor in Law. Her relevant industrial experience includes in itself litigation, with Adv. C. Varghese Kuriakose wherein she has practised law in almost all courts and tribunals within the territorial limits of Cochin Corporation including the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala; legal consultant, wherein she got herself associated with M/s Fabin Technologies as a legal consultant during the course of which she was actively involved in the labour and human rights issues of workers including their conditions of work amongst the other works.
She has two Publications to her account viz., in a National Journal [“A Probe Into The POCSO: A Legislative Comment On The Protection Of Children From Sexual Offences Act, 2012”, The Law Mantra Journal, Volume 1, Issue 2, (ISSN: 2321-6417)] and has also authored an article in a Book [“Reconceptualising Corruption: On The Touchstone of Human Rights”, Proceedings of the National Conference on “Corruption and Anti-Corruption: Perceptions, Assesments and Prescriptions”, ISBN 978-93-84743-20-8.]
She has also attended and presented Research Papers in an International Conference; 7 National Seminars, 5 National Workshops and a National Conference.
